My Photography Journey
I’m Levi Hahn. I’m a 19-year-old photographer. I live in Shutesbury, Massachusetts, and graduated from Amherst Regional High School. I am attending Landmark College in Putney, Vermont.
As a person with Autism, I am drawn to abstract images and inspired by nature. My Autism influences my editing choices regarding color and texture as well as what l choose to focus on.
My interest in photography started in 9th grade when I was randomly placed in a class called Photography and Social Change. In one of our first assignments, we had a timer, walked around outdoors, and when the timer stopped, we took a photo. I took some photos of trees. As I was taking these photos, I became interested in their bark. I looked at the designs the bark made, and I saw textures in the bark. This became the main focus of my images. I loved making art out of something regular or mundane.
At Landmark College, I have continued to progress as a photographer. My skills with a DSLR and photo editing allow me to create my own style.
In 2021, I started Levi in Focus. My business allows me to share my work with the world by creating products that showcase my photography style. I love to edit my photos because it makes them more abstract, compelling, and engaging. Abstraction is important to me because of my autism. Autism makes me a more abstract person, and I’m able to thrive in spaces where that’s appreciated.
As I continue to develop my photography and business, your support helps me build my brand. One day, I hope to open a Levi in Focus storefront and continue to reach more people with my photography and story.
My Values
As a photographer, I value creativity, uniqueness, and community involvement. I am dedicated to producing high-quality products that carry my artwork and story.
